The Greater Hartford Pro-Am is one of the most underrated summer basketball leagues in the country. Each year the league attracts quality talent from Connecticut and former UConn Huskies, most who have played on championship teams and made deep runs in the NCAA tournament. Over the summer, UConn 7 footer, Amida Brimah, participated and logged a triple double in a game, which included 15 blocks.
Brimah is nearly automatic in the paint off of a clean catch, offensive rebound, or lob. According to shot chart analytics he was 79% in the paint, very impressive for a second year big man. Overall he was 67% from the field throughout the season. My only concern is that he will be playing with his third point guard (Shabazz Napier 13-14', Ryan Boatright 14-15') in three seasons, but Sterling Gibbs is proven, especially coming from a tough BIG EAST conference.
