Justin is instant offense for Hofstra. He scores well from all three levels which makes him a difficult match up. Last season he finished 6th in the country in scoring with 24.4 ppg, which equaled 0.64 points per min, 22nd in the country. He concluded the year with a Point Per Possession rating of 1.03. He shoots the ball very well in pick and roll situations (0.96 PPP, Synergy), 36% from three, 51% 2PT shots. He does a good job of splitting doubles and reading defenses, changes speed and direction well. Very high offensive IQ. He's a good mid range shooter and knows when to pull up off the dribble. He's a underrated athlete who has the ability to play above the rim, unassuming at first glance, jumps off two feet.
He's a big time scorer but not a true point guard. He rarely uses his right hand going to the rim, left hand dominant. He needs to improve as a facilitator. More of a shooting guard mentality in a point guards body. Not an overwhelming defender, only 25 steals last season 0.02 Per Minute. Tends to get beat on closeouts and allows himself to get screened.
